Goodbye to a Friend

It is with the deepest regret that we say goodbye to a true friend of the BPPA, Boston City Councilor Brian Honan. Honan continuously showed support for the BPPA on issues of funding police contracts, crime prevention initiatives, and all policing issues. Recently, as the elected chairman of the Councils Public Safety Commission, Honan fought the department gaining funding for a new police recruit class for this fiscal year. As the BPPA endorsed candidate for the position of Suffolk County District Attorney, Honan demonstrated a willingness to listen to the concerns of those on the front line of public safety. The BPPA has lost a true friend and champion for its causes. He will surely be missed. God Bless.
