Brian Honan

There is a reason why almost every City Councilor, and so many others in elected office, has a photo of Brian Honan hanging on their office wall. In politics, few agree on everything. However, one thing that everyone agreed on was their respect and admiration for Brian Honan.

Brian was known for his ability to bring levity and humor to tense situations allowing for just enough time for those involved to realize that there are always more important things in life.

Brian’s best quality was his ability to focus attention on other people and not on himself. He had an incredible willingness to share the spotlight and to defer credit to others. He preferred results for his constituents rather than credit for himself.

He could bridge any gaps, be it ideological, geographical, racial or otherwise. He taught me, and so many others, that at the end of the day, we all work together
